HTC has launched a refreshed version of the HTC Desire 816G handset in India, replacing its 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor with a 1.7GHz octa-core (unspecified) processor. The HTC Desire 816G (2015) has been priced at Rs. 19,990, slightly more than the Rs. 18,990 last year's variant was launched at.
All other specifications remain the same between the two variants, though once again, HTC has not specified the Android version - the first generation ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat however. The dual-SIM Desire 816G (2015) features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels), 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
