Flipkart, the exclusive online retail partner of Motorola, has introduced a new 'exchange your old phone' offer under which customers can get up to Rs. 4,000 and up to Rs. 6,000 discounts on the purchase of the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto X (Gen 2)
smartphones respectively, in exchange for select phones. The exchange offer will be available for consumers in the period between January 19 to January 23, 2015.
With the exchange offer, the Rs. 12,999 (16GB) price tag on the Moto G (Gen 2) gets reduced to Rs. 8,999. The Moto X (Gen 2), on the other hand, will be available at Rs. 23,999 (16GB) and Rs. 26,999 (32GB) down from Rs. 29,999 (16GB) and Rs. 32,999
(32GB) respectively.
Last month, Motorola launched the Moto X (Gen 2) 32GB variant in India at Rs. 32,999, while the price of the previously available 16GB variant of the Moto X (Gen 2) was slashed to Rs. 29,999 from the earlier Rs. 31,999 when it was launched in September.
