Record the screen of your Android Lollipop device

Record the screen of your Android Lollipop device

Android 4.4 KitKat Google introduced the ability to record the screen of an Android device, though it was far from user-friendly.

But with Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google has made it possible for apps installed on a device to record whatever on the screen. As Android Police covered, AZ Screen Recorder is one such app.
Currently listed as free in the Play Store.

Once you install and launch the app, a small menu bar is displayed in the middle of your screen. From there you can begin recording your screen, view past recordings, launch settings or close the app altogether. In the app's settings, you can enable touches to show up on the screen, enable or disable the microphone, change the quality of video captured in addition to setting time limits for recording.

When recording a video, a red blinking light will be displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen. A single tap will pause the recording, with a double-tap stopping it altogether. Once finished, you can share the video as you would any other video file on your device; using social networks, Google Drive and the like.
