Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge+
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is "confirmed" to sport 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. This would make the smartphone the company's first to feature 4GB of RAM. Notably, the Asus ZenFone 2 also comes with 4GB of RAM. Also, OnePlus 2 is confirmed to house the same amount and type of RAM.
Also mentioned is the inclusion of Exynos 7422 processor, which is said to be Samsung's first true single-chip solution (ePOP) with an integrated 64-bit octa-core CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and the Shanon 333 4G LTE modem. The report also cites company insiders to claim the Galaxy Note 5 will come without a microSD card slot, just like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is said to be the large-screen variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, and could also be considered the dual-edge display version of the Galaxy Note 5. It is said to arrive in the same colour variants like the Note 5. The handset is said to be powered by the same Exynos 7420 processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, which was rumoured last month.
Another report by GSMArena shows the dimensions of the two devices via some image renders. The details come from case maker company ITSKINS. The renders suggest the Galaxy Note 5 to feature s Galaxy S6-like design as mentioned above. Also hinted is that the Galaxy Note 5 might lose its removable battery option, as with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. As per the case maker, the flagship phablet will measure 153.3x76.1x7.9mm, which indicates a 5.7-inch display. Also tipped was the lack of USB Type-C connectivity on the handset.
